Gracious God,
Wecome to you this morning, pausing from our schedules and anxieties – to ask for your peace and your presence.
We come to you this morning, pausing from our drive to accomplish and achieve – to ask for your love and unconditional forgiveness.
We come to you this morning, pausing from the clamor of the world and from the noise inside our own minds and hearts – to listen again for your still small voice.
We pause, Lord – from ourselves.
We pause to worship you, glorify you, honor you, and become more like you. Thank you for meeting us here. Thank you for the promise that you will speak into our lives, and that you will help us hear you when you do. Thank you, gracious God, for this heavenly pause today. Amen. Â
