Minnesota Faces to Remember

This short story about the victims killed during the Minneapolis I-35 bridge collapse is a valuable one. Author Tony Jones reflects on the growing diversity in the Twin Cities, and how a random disaster like this highlights the many different lives that share roadways and neighborhoods in our changing America. His reflection represents both the “roots” that many are proud of in this scandinavian territory, as well as the richness that a changing cultural norm has brought to the north country in the last few decades - two realities that we also experienced while living in Minneapolis for two years. Remembering the lives and stories lost that day is also important for the rest of us I think; if you click on the slideshow of the victims, you’ll see the real lives lost and get a brief snapshot of their stories. Peace be to their memories.
